Dental or oral surgery is a stomatological speciality, dealing with diagnostics, evaluation and treatment of pathologic processes in teeth and injuries and other abnormalities, limited to jawbone and oral cavity surface. It is a branch of dentistry which, in addition to teeth, treats also the surrounding soft and hard tissues.
